Ha Hyesoo makes us contemplate common issues among modern individuals: the feeling of being isolated from others due to our own unique identities. She majored in traditional Korean painting, and invented a unique tiger figure named Orangi from the traditional Korean painting "Hojakdo (Paintings of Tigers and Magpies)." Tigers have long been regarded in Korean folk culture as powerful and wise creatures, both awe-inspiring and endowed with a humane touch. However, we can see 'Orangi', appears in a delicate and endearing form in Hyesoo's works. While it may not be the ferocious tiger we might commonly imagine, 'Orangi' represents a unique and individualistic portrayal. Through this, we can learn about Hyesoo's intention to respect individual identities and diversity. Furthermore, we come to realize that while we may be different, we complement each other and can harmoniously coexist. Understanding that our individualities are mutually enriching and such abundance diversity leads to a more abundant world, it is a realization that can be drawn from the depiction of 'Orangi'.
